Early Catheter Removal Improves Patient Survival In Peritoneal Dialysis Patients with Fungal Peritonitis: Results of a Ninety-Four Episodes of Fungal Peritonitis at a Single Center

This single centre experience suggests a markedly lower mortality rate if patients with fungal peritonitis have their PD catheter removed within 24 hours, 12.8% vs 31.7% (p < 0.01).
