Graft Loss Due to Recurrent Lupus Nephritis in Living-Related Kidney Donation

Recurrence of lupus nephritis is not uncommon, and treatment can be difficult. This retrospective cohort study using the UNOS registry examined the risk of graft loss among living-donor recipients of a kidney transplant. Surprisingly, patients who received a zero-mismatched kidney had the lowest incidence of graft loss due to recurrent lupus nephritis.
