Quality of Life and Survival in Patients with Advanced Kidney Failure Managed Conservatively or by Dialysis

This prospective study examined patients who chose conservative therapy and those who chose dialysis in the setting of end-stage renal disease. Patients choosing conservative care maintained quality of life and had adjusted median survival that was 13 months shorter than those who started hemodialysis.
